Too funny! When we had some renovations done, we didn't want the non-english speaking workmen to let the cats out of the bathroom. We went back and forth on language for a sign until we had something that translated both ways. It was scary the first few iterations!!

It reminds me of my parents' trip to China a few years ago. If my dad had a question of a villager, he would ask my mom in English. She would repeat the question in Mandarin to their driver, who in turn would ask the question in the village dialect. Then the answer would travel back up the line in the opposite direction. I wonder how often the answer my dad received had any relation to the question he'd asked!

a woman after my own heart DH and I often point out mullets to each other. I used to have the mullet classifications memorized also...though I've grown weak in the past few years. Excellent subject material!
