I Think My Trainer Took Its Last Breath

Three years ago I purchased a used CycleOps Fluid2 trainer and have proabably logged over 4,000 miles on it. Recently, I have noticed that there does not seem to be a lot of resistance coming from it when I ride. This evening after the club's trainer tour I found a clear, slick, oily substance beneath the resistance unit. Is it safe to assume it is now leaking? Can it be repaired? I just so bummed.
