This is what I have and I think this is fairly solid. Some were wavering because I didn't know if I could swim the Oly distance... but I've really come along in my swimming in the past couple weeks. Something just clicked and it seems like I could go forever now!

    April: 62 mile bike ride
    May: 1/2 marathon
    June: 2 sprint tris
    July: Lifetime Fitness Oly tri
Aug: Oly tri and possibley another Oly or a sprint. Not sure if I am going to do the second one or not.

Then September and October I'll do some running races, 5K's and 10K's mainly. Maybe a duathlon if one pops up somewhere.

    plans..plans

Well hopefully my plans will not go awry this year..
so far I have signed up and paid my money for 2 races..
1/2Marathon in Vancouver early in May
and my first ever 1/2 IM first weekend in June- this way I figure we can get back to our usual sailing races and camping etc thru the rest of the summer so for my husband and I this was a good compromise ( because of course I signed him up too

Pika - I used to do that. Have my biggest race of the year in the early summe so I could windsurf as much as I wanted and still have motivation to keep me training through the winter. It works great. Then that darned IM Can thing keeps coming up.

Not this year though. More playing this summer for me.

    Hi Kelownagirl-
The 1/2IM is in Oliver-1st weekend in June- supposed to be a good course for first timers because the bike is relatively flat- doesn't climb any major passes or anything and the weather should be good though last year the temps were up in the mid 30C - yikes I hope it isn't that hot this year!

    Hey,

I just, just discovered this forum after searching high and low on the Web for some other women who were serious about training and, well, here you all are! HI!

My schedule for this year is as follows:

    April: 1/2 mary
    June: HIM
    1/2 mary
    July: HIM
    August: Olympic
September: HIM (Muskoka! We managed to get in under the wire for Muskoka!)

I'm currently training about 10-12 hours a week, time that will definitely be increased once I can get out onto the road with my...new...Cervélo P2C! I'm too psyched for the coming year. DH is hoping to qualify for Clearwater this year and I'm hoping to survive the season :P.

I'm glad I found you all...
