Hang in there CC. We want you back but don't push it, ok?

For what it's worth, I'm not a good patient either. Jeepers!

Poo is right! Big bummer. Take it easy and wait for the results, okay? Don't make anything worse.

I'll be hoping it's just something pulled or something like that and not something serious like floating bones. Is that even possible??

What CC is likely feeling is the dislocated end of the clavicle moving around. It's likely not completely stable. Even though it feels really yucky, it's not likely to be anything serious but it's important with this injury to be sure that it's not serious. The floating bone feeling is coming from the loose end but it's not a piece of bone that is actually disconnected and migrating.

    hey

I was being silly when i said bones "goin on vacation" however that's how I "imagine" it to be. I have a goofy outlook on these things

I'm def not going to carry anything heavy in the next few days and be careful in which way I move. I was supposed to help @ a tri tomorrow but driving today hasn't felt too hot. I've managed to contact someone & inform them. The whole crew knows about my injuries...

What annoys me is that it's still not stable after all this time. It felt stable for a month or so & then all of a sudden I feel wonky.

Sometimes it'll feel stable for a month or so because there is fluid/swelling inside the joint and the pressure of the fluid stabilizes it. When the swelling finally goes down, there's less intra-articualr pressure and the bone ends have move freedom of movement. Or, some of the new scar tissue may have stretched out.

Ultimately CC, unless something is being compressed that shouldn't be, this isn't much of a functional concern. Over time, the joint will usually scar down and stabilize. It often looks funny, different position and enlarged, compared to the other side but quite functional.

I just want to you make sure it's not squishing anything and be sure to tell the doac about the dizziness etc. Don't leave out any of the weird symptoms when you talk to him. He won't think you're crazy.

    move

Well, I saw me dr this afternoon. He confirmed that yes the clavicle bone has moved a smidgen bit plus some swelling and some bruising in my sternum. (is the sternum the bone that runs donwards in the front of your chest? ) He touched that bit & owwwwwwwww..urghhhh..

    btw..what does posterior subluxation mean??

He suggested taking Nurofen on a regular basis for a few days and see how it helps. Also, no fast swimming for a few weeks but i'm allowed to do kicking drills, deep water running and my water based knee exercises. Doing long walks along the beach after work sounds great at the moment because it's so hot!

Yes it's painful but as long as I take it easier/easish/easy for a 2-2 weeks, I will be ok. I'll be back in the pool with our group in no time. I see the physio about my knee tomorrow and will get his opinion.

Yes I know I am not great at taking it 'easy' but will I promise!

Don't move in ways you shouldn't when you're almost recovered from an injury.. I think it's from when I was doing some new arm exercises with a dura band...

    Thanks for the possie vibes
