O'tay! Bubba just said "Baldy's BBQ for dinner tonight." So that means off the wagon with a huge thud.

Boot camp?! Vat is thees 'boot camp' zat you speak of?

Onto Yahoo mail: you wouldn't happen to have an upgraded Yahoo Mail account, would you? Can you access it via a POP3 mail client? If so, they have an option to archive your email.

If you have a free Yahoo Mail account, then you can probably do it with something like YPOPs (free POP3 access to Yahoo Mail.)

Let me know either way, and I can try to come up with the steps to get you thru it.

Thanks, melissam. I think I'll nominate you for an Emmy anyway.

We have sbcglobal.net accounts that we access only via the web. On the old computer we used Outlook Express but it was a bit difficult to deal with different emails addresses (actually, it was a bit difficult for Bubba to deal with different accounts).

I think what I am most worried about is the Amici Veloci jersey correspondence with Voler which does have attachments. Maybe I can just do what I can to grab the most important ones and let everything else go.

An archive consists of individual mail messages from your mailbox that are compressed into one zip file. You can unzip the archive using any number of compression utilities, such as WinZip. Your individual mail messages, located within the zip archive, are in a format (.eml) that preserves the formatting and attachments associated with your original messages.
Once you unzip your archive, messages can be opened from within an email client such as Outlook Express or Netscape Navigator. For best results, simply drag and drop all of your message files into your mail program's inbox folder. You can also open messages with a common text reader, but formatting and attachments will not be decoded.

The archived messages that you download are copies of your online messages and are for offline use only. If you choose to delete any messages in your email account to free up space, please remember that you will not be able to import your downloaded messages back into your mailbox.

If this is not what you needed to know, check out our Online Help Desk. Visit it any time by logging into your Yahoo! account and clicking on the "Help" link located in the upper right-hand corner.
