I had a huge quad injury last January from a bike accident. I have a big dent and lump in my leg. My PT said it "might" go away if a massage it a lot. But I think I will have that dent forever. My muscle seems to have recovered though, so be encouraged. Now if only my SI joint would heal up...

Oh, and also... I started swimming when I had to stop cycling. It really saved my sanity. Now I am able to go on the eliptical, and weight machines. You don't have to lose your fitness, keep up cardio and leg work. You can do it.

I got mine thanks to an over-the-bars incident that occurred when I was being indecisive about whether or not to get cocky going over a simple trail obstacle - would've been fine either way if only I'd made my mind up before I got there!
Thankfully, the lumpiness went as the bruising faded.
