Clorox bought Burt's Bee's

In light of this news I am searching for a new skin care line...I have slight issues with acne and Burt's was the first line that kept it somewhat under control and an affordable price. An absolute must is simplicity!!! I want to wash and moisturize...that is it! I don't want to have to dab this on here and that on there...wait 5 minutes rinse and apply this...bla bla bla! (I do however take the time for a bi-monthly mask treatment)

Yes i love zia's face wash! I have been using them for years! And i break out from time to time. I need something to really clean my face when i am working so the citruse face wash is wonderful as well the green one (not sure what that one is called) and just the cream face wash. I have had not one problem with any of them. They sell little bottles of the washes too so you cam try them out without having to pay for a large amount and then find out you don't like it.
Highly recommend thier stuff!!!!!

Well, it's pricey, but I use so little of it that I think it evens out in the end. I use Dr. Haushka stuff from Germany. I use their toner and moisturizer (only during the day). I use Jason soap (liquid). It's the only thing that has evened out my skin and cleared up my breakouts and soothed my wrinkles (not supposed to have all those at once, but somehow I got lucky).

I'll second Dr. Hauschka's being very gentle. I don't use it because it's a little heavy for my oily skin, but it doesn't break me out.

I use Dr. Bronner's soap, and pure grape seed oil for a moisturizer. Tried all kinds of stuff, but this seems to be the best combination for my goofy skin.

Oh Dr bronners is to dry for my face. Love the stuff though! Where do you get your grape seed oil?

My grocery store has a really big "natural" section, and I can get a nice 4oz bottle for about $4. (It lasts a long time.) Very light, absorbs quickly, unscented. Light enough to use around the eyes. Works nicely as a massage oil, too.

Funny you mention Dr. Hauschka's stuff...I bought a sample moisturizer for dry, windburned face after a couple of winter rides. I really like the feel but even with the smallest amount I used I was still a greasy mess! BUT...that is not to say I wouldn't use it at night. Still have plenty in the tube...

Grapeseed oil...hmmmm...interesting!!!!

I may try some Dr Bronners next.

It's all I use and I actually spend less then when I was buying other products that were more complicated. There's a discount cosmetics company online that sells Dr H stuff *relatively* inexpensively. It's called essentialdayspa.com (I think).

Grape seed oil has been good for me, too. I used to get it in a health food store--Whole Foods and the like.

I use Dr. Hauschka's too. It is expensive, so thanks for that link, I will check it out.
Tulip is right- they make various moisturizers with different formulas for different skin types. If one is too oily then another will be just right. Also don't use too much- a little goes a very long way.
For my 53 year old face skin with no oiliness/blemish problems, I use the "Moisturizing Day Cream". Very silky and light. I think it adds more moisture for "mature skin" than the quince day cream.
My other fave Dr.H product is the (also expensive) Birch Arnica body oil. Once every 2 or 3 weeks I loofah my whole body in the shower and then massage in the oil all over- it is so light it never feels "oily", just silky and warming. A few drops here and there can get worked in nicely. Smells like wood and the wonderful silky effect lasts for many days afterwards. It amazes me that I don't "feel" it there 5 days later, but water will still bead up on my skin a bit and I don't feel dry skin issues. Needless to say, I don't suds my whole body up with soap every day in the shower- I don't like removing all my good natural skin oils excessively. I just do the hot water shower all over and soap up the strategic spots.
