I don't know if this might help, but some people think dry skin patches can be related to vitamin deficiencies, particularly the B complex vitamins. Couldn't hurt to try some and see if it helps.

I seem to lack vitamin E in my diet (which foods have it?? Maybe taking the olive oil instead of applying it would work?), so when I don't take 200 iu of vitamin e about daily, I end up with the same problem. I also take Vitamin B supplements. I'm trying to figure out how to get these in the food I eat (or need to eat, as the case may be), but I don't know yet.

hmmm never considered it might be a vitamine thing. I get a lot from my food but I am not getting enough. I will look into it!
