I can't offer any wisdom, but as someone who's been trying to restrict her diet lately . . . rather than focusing on all the things you *can't* have, try to get excited about the things you *can* have. Yay, avocado! Yippee for roast chicken! Hooray for blueberries and ripe pears!

(I'm not saying the "yay, green salad again!" tactic always WORKS for me, just offering it up . . . ).

Yes! Lots of choices in the veggie department. As for meat, I have recently started buying meat directly from the rancher/farmer who raises the cattle (she also sells eggs). It's so much better, local, and not full of stuff. It's also fresh. Tastes amazing.

I am actually beginning to see the silver lining -- I might even be GOOD at hills once I drop 30 pounds. And how could I NOT drop 30 pounds after four months of just veggies and a little meat? And kicking the sugar addiction for good ... that's another plus.

Gotta get some work done so I can play in the FEET of white stuff that's been dumping over Wyoming in the past month. Another 5-6 inches last night, so it's time to bust out some X-C skis and get the pups some exercise.

I'm just torn between trying to eat more healthfully now or wait until Tuesday to get the program. Part of me wants to have "last suppers" all week, up until the "last breakfast" before my appointment.
