I have been swimming since as long as I can remember...I have long since given up on getting rid of the chlorine smell. It's become kinda comfortingly familiar to me

I have however found that L'oreal makes a kid's shampoo for swimming, and then there are other brands like Aubrey that make a (rather expensive) swimming shampoo/conditioner that I haven't tried.

I find the smell of chlorine mixed with a hint of coppertone to be downright sexy, maybe your DH just needs the coppertone added to the mix?

White Vinegar. I rinse my hair and body in a little bit and the smell is gone. Then I wash with my normal soap. Easy, cheap and works every time.
