PI octane jacket vs Craft rain jacket

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Am on a dilemna....which jacket?

I like that the PI jacket has a hood that can be a helmet cover.

I like that the Craft jacket has pit zips.

    Both are great neon color.

Anybody have either one that can provide a recommendation?

    thanks

I have only the Craft jacket and can tell you that it is well made and not flimsy. Very vi-vis screaming yellow.

I have the craft jacket and absolutely love it. i bought it here from TE. I also considered the PI jacket, but was concerned about the lack of pit zips. The pit zips are very nice, cuz instead of just generating a gaping hole, they empty a couple inches to reveal some nice mesh venting material. The jacket is both warm but vents easily so I have used it for a wide range of temps, not just for rain, but for whenever the temp drops below 50 (and its Ok in the 50s too, but if the ride starts above 50 I usually wear something lighter if it is dry out, since it usually warms up here). I bought an LG helmet cover which I prefer to a hood. I find that I use it on cold days to keep the cold air out of my bike vents as well as to keep out rain. I will say it runs a tad on the small size, I am a small in shebeest but needed a medium in this. If you are between sizes you could order both and return one.
