    met/exceed my goal

I just posted over on BJ. I passed my last years total of 5300.88 with my current at 5306. I'm a capricorn and I'm thrilled. Had more vacations w/o my bike but just kept at it whenever I could. This brings my lifetime miles to 11000+(I started in Sep 2005 at 57). Yep that's right...big 60 in Jan 2008...wheee what a ride.

I never set a yearly goal for climbing but did start tracking elevation gain after I bought a polar and then an edge 305. That number is 210,188'. how's that really? not so good I bet for folks near some real 'hills'.

Improved my speed(not much but some) 2006 was 13.76 overall with 2007 at 14.2 and my HR avg from 124 in 2006 to 130 in 2007. I really believe I am fitter and am hoping that my interpreation of these few numbers support this hypothesis. You can tell me if I'm wrong so I can get set for 2008!
Reading all your posts(here and BJ) really have motivated me this year..especially when I feel alone(not many of my 'old' friends bike)

    Cheers..Happy New Year!

    Wow, Eden, you rock!
and Lisa, you left me in the DUST!

I made my goal of 2500 miles/ 4000 kilometers and quit riding in November. There just hasn't been much weather conducive (for me) to riding since then.

    All you gals, great jobs!

I surpassed my goal of 3 centuries when we added a self-supported one. We did century out of state, which is a feat when it takes 8 hours to leave the state! Instead of going to New Mexico for a mountain century we opted to go to Disneyworld, so I missed the goal of riding the Enchanted Circle.

My mileage goal is 3,500 and I am 94 miles shy. I have three days and I still think I can do it. At one point I thought I would go way passed it but I have been sick and off the bike too much this year.

My goal next year is 4 centuries, The Enchanted Circle Century and 4,000 miles.
