It has by all accounts be a great year for me on my bike. I had set a goal of 5500 miles (indoor & outdoor) for 2007. As of today I've logged a total of 7303 miles (indoor & outdoor). I pulled out my goal sheet today and I met all but one of goals (mileage on the recumbent I owned). So as it goes I logged 5148 miles on my Univega on the road, 390 miles on the recumbent I no longer own, 241 miles on my new bike and 1524 miles on my trainer. I had set a goal of 4 centuries and I started and finished 9 with the longest being 128 miles. Most importantly, I felt strong and confident on my bikes and with each stroke of the pedals I felt my confidence grow. I've had a great year and all those miles in the end (from June on) were a very cheap form of therapy as well - I'm mentally and physcially much stronger and looking forward to 2008 - what will it bring?
