    Happy Trails Lori!

It was so calming to hear that you like your bike better than your hybrid...I just bought a road bike and it should be delivered next week but I am so nervous about switching from my Trek hybrid to a Dolce....not sure why I am so anxious....i think i am worried I spent all this money and it will turn out that the rider is the slow element not the bike. Hee Hee.
Sisu is the finnish philosophy that what must be done will be done-regardless of what it takes,
a special strength and persistent determination and resolve to continue and overcome in the moment of adversity, an almost magical quality, a combination of stamina, perseverance, courage, and determination held in reserve for hard times.

Sisu concepts....Over the past few years I went from a hybrid, to the Specialized Sirrus and the speed got better and thought I was doing fine until I rode with my husband and friend two years later and there I was lagging behind so I went for the gusto (in my book anyway) and my husband got me a Dolce for my birthday in Dec. I was hoping the same thing, hope it isn't me, but like theladybikes put it Sweeeeeet. Rode my new bike on my trainer all winter, got it outdoors when weather permitted and I am loving it and keeping pace with my husband and friend, not that they are above average riders, but I am holding my own. I am sure you will also.

Oh, and I put the Speedplay Frogs on it and couldn't ask for a better clipless pedal.

Thumbs up Gears to you, Lori!

Congrats on your new steed - always exciting! I saved and planned and saved and planned some more and brought home my dream bike last year and have enjoyed every ride on all 3 of my bikes (well, except the cold, rainy training rides - ugh!).
So, whereabouts in NW WA are you? I live north of Seattle and have 5 STPs under my shorts, so if you have questions or anything while you're training, just let me know, ok?
    Happy trails,
    Mary
