Those look fantastic!!! I will keep them in mind for next year, as I have made all of the candy my sweet tooth can handle for this season.

Your evil neighbor, my evil friend..............

Here is another GREAT recipe that my friend made Saturday when we got together to make candy for our neighbors and friends. IT IS SO GOOD.

I thought you all might need another evil recipe............bwahahahaha!!!!!!

    Almond Bark Crispies

    2 c crunchy peanut butter
    2 c mini marshmallows
1 c salted Spanish peanuts or cocktail peanuts
    4 c Rice Krispies
    2 1/2 lbs. almond bark

Put everything except the bark in a large mixing bowl.
Melt the bark, pour over the ingredients and mix well.
Drop by spoon on wax paper. Let cool.

Eat only one, I dare you!!!

Those are so simple to make, it makes them extra evil. When you said

"First, you take the wrappers off a bunch of Hershey's kisses or some similar sized gooey candy:"

I thought you were going to making those peanut butter cookies stuffed with mini-Snickers. Their evil too, but take a lot more work.

I think the peanut butter would be good with the kisses but maybe not with the Rolos. Hmmm. Many combinations to try. Since there are so many different kisses now, the choices are endless.

Oh and JOBOB, Sister Wife House #5 is for sale (we're a couple of houses up the street). You could always move here and help us with this wine problem that seems to be getting worse as it gets colder. (Though I really don't want these people--who seem to be in our beer cellar quite a bit--to sell their house, since they are good neighbors and also a lot of fun. I have threatened to go out on the lawn and have seizures any time someone looks at the house.)

The very evil neighbor also introduced me to Hendricks gin. I had no idea what I had been missing. It was a life-changing moment.

Oh Hendricks Gin..... chocolate does nothing for me, but Hendricks gin is something else altogether...
Yellow, have you ever tried Junipero Gin?

(Is it still a hijack if the thread-starter digressed first?)

We do a Rollo on the pretzel, in the oven for 4 minutes, take them out, and then gently squish a pecan into the Rollo. Call them Christmas miracles.

Almond bark is pretty much white chocolate.

Is that the one that is made by Anchor? I think I've tried it, but that was before I had developed any sort of taste for gin. I've never seen it here in Ooootah. We're limited to what the State thinks we should be able to have.

P.S. I'm not a huge chocolate fan either, but I sure like that combination of chocolate and salty!

Yes indeed - made by Anchor. Next time you're out here we'll have to set you up with some.

Dark chocolate and salty might be pretty good... hmmm.

I have made those without the top pretzel and adding an M&M onto the top. (You put it on after you take it out of the oven when the Hershey's kiss is a little melted). It resembles an eyeball just enough to make it a good Halloween treat, especially if you use Halloween colored M&M's.

The first time I made these, I melted the kisses under a broiler a little too long. They end up getting hard, not melting all over the place like you would think. You only need to put them in for a very short while - maybe a minute.

Have you started making Gluhwein yet? I discovered it on the Holiday Wine Trail and now DH is requesting. I cannot wait to mix up a huge old pot full for family Christmas Saturday. I fear two bottles is too few.

I need a neighbor like yours, of course I do have a mother that is quite the enabler. Chocolate and a bottle of red- what an influence she is! Glad I don't like chocolate pretzels!

Mmmmm...salt, sugar, and sugar. I'll have to try that one next time.
