Great job Sally!! It was really fun seeing you moving up in the ranks this season. Sounds like you finished the season off great.

Are you still thinking of doing a single chain ring next season? Would you stick with the 45? I have been using a 34 (wimpy, I know), but if I'm feeling stronger I would like to try a larger ring. I've got a long way to go, though, before I can give up my little climbing gears.

I checked out some of the National's results and it looks like there were more DNS than riders! The pictures of the ice-laden trees on Thursday were really pretty, but the course looked like a rutty mess. I was glad to see Julie Lockhart defended her National title!

I'm looking forward to more of this crazy 'cross stuff next year too!

Sally and Wavedance - I ran a single up front all season - a 42. I didn't find that I really needed a lower gear, except for the hill at Plymouth South where Brian was heckling me . I managed to ride most all the hills on the courses that were rideable this season with that gearing. I think I would spin out too much with a smaller gear.

Sadly, I was one of the MANY DNS people at Natz. However, given that we were planning on driving, and the weather conditions in both Kansas and here, I have to say it was a good decision . Some of my teammates were still out there though, and we finished up with a 2nd, 3rd, 10th and two national champs - Julie and Libby. Woohoo!

I'm gonna miss all the cool peeps from racing this season... It's only been over for a week or so, so is it too soon to start counting down to next September????
