Ohh Pink- THAT is FUNNY! Esp. that you took the time to take a pic of the can!

Spencer has been bugging me to go to Flag so he can play in the snow. Don't think it's going to happen this weekend- the shop is killing me. But I would LOVE to!

Ohh and I've switched from shorts to track pants and a fleece jacket. My heat stricken Phoenix bones can't take anything under 70 degrees anymore.
It was in the 50's tonight and I wore ear warmers on my run.. hee hee

I took a bunch of photos while snowshoeing through the woods this morning, but I don't have the time right now to put them up yet!
I'll try to do it soon.....

    Oooooohhh. These pictures are wonderful!!!!

    I MISS SNOW!!!!

I LOVE those pics of all that fluffy, dry snow. When we get it, if we get it, it is usually massively wet, heavy and almost immediately slushy, with thawing during the day turning it to ice with slush on top.

Thank you for the pictures...reminds me of how much I used to love living in snow country.

We just got 2 feet earlier this week and I'm so jazzed - Haven't been able to get off work to go snow shoeing or skiing yet - I guess Saturday will have to do.

I would send pictures, but I won't get my digital camera until after Christmas!

Can't wait, I'm always wanting to put pictures on the forum, but up until now, I have not been able to afford a camera!

We've had quite a bit of snow in the Northeast as well. DH and I hung up the bikes for awhile, and went out to play last weekend in the great North Woods (between Errol and Pittsburg, NH). Here's a link to my blog with photos (warning: SNOWMOBILE content!).

We snowshoed the night before this - great conditions for that right now!

SheFly, you're killing me. The shots on your blog are so purty.

We got some snow over the weekend. Not as much as they predicted, but I could have used some skis or snowshoes. Of coures, my bigger problem is that driving in this kind of weather in order to get somewhere to ski or shoe is a problem. Double argh!!!

It really is a pity that I don't live elsewhere. I would love to move and I suppose the biggest thing stopping me is my own inertia and the fact that I have the best job in the world; one that would be hard to replicate. It's hard to know how to measure these things. For now, I just have to up my travel budget I think.

Isn't it funny how pictures of snow and mountains can trigger an existential crisis?
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

No...I am extremely familiar with this syndrome. In fact last year, I posted here on TE to get ideas of where to move. I love high, dry country with really seasonal climates and mountains.

Then, don't you know, a work opportunity came up that was just too good to pass up, so here I am again for awhile now. A move someday is still not out of the question, and I am constantly aware of the tension between loving my current work situation enough to stay here, and yet desperately wanting to move to where my heart lives.

I can't remember another year when we had snow this early in the season where it stayed around! A couple of shots from a mid-day walk today...

If I could show you (since we haven't downloaded our digital photos yet) now where we are at this hour.

In a mountainous ski resort area where by our lodge, the skiers and snowboarding were whipping by, less than 10 ft. by our windown. We just went snowshoeing this afternoon and it was snowing gently the whole time. There's over 3 ft. of snow at least and more. It's white, deep and lush snow.

We are in the interior of British Columbia. Probably less than 150 kms. northwest of where kelownagirl lives.
