Audio-A have you looked at the Continental gand prix 3000 tires. They have some that are grey with a beautiful magenta stripe. Check out their site. Might go great with your grey Bianchi

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I've had a pair of those on backorder - I completely forgot about that! I already have three of the Schwalbe pink tires sold right here - I was waiting for my trip to Colorado to put them on my Cannondale, but I think they'll look HOT on my Bianchi. All of my clothing and helmets are pink, to match my old bike, so it makes sense to throw a dash of pink on the bike. What is so funny is that in my normal (non-biking) life, I couldn't care less about matching anything! And, purple is my color, but in my bike life, it's all about the pink! Hmm, now I realize that y'all just solved my shoe problem! I had a pair of pink Nike Ventoux shoes last summer, then switched to Sidi in the winter, which fit better with heavier socks. Now that it's warm, my shoes don't fit. I was hesitant to switch back to my pink shoes, but if they match my tires, then I don't see a problem! What do the fashion mavens think???

I think it's hilarious!!...and needless to say I would brag about knowing someone who matches - from her helmet to her tires!

    Talking Got IT!!

Picked up my bike today!! It is so SWEET!! It is a great ride. I live in a town where there are lakes everywhere and they have bike lanes around pretty much most of the lakes. So I went riding lake to lake and it was a great sunny day here in FL. It is so funny when i was reading the posts before i got my bike, i think it was bikerhen or cosairmac that said they had bugs in their teeth from smiling so much! I had to laugh today while i was riding because i caught myself doing the same thing...aside from eating the bugs!! But i was, smiling like a little kid that just got a new puppy! I got up to 18mph, I thought i was flying until two guys blew past me...but i will eventually catch up to them. They were very nice, waved, with thumbs up. I guess they could tell i was a newbie! I will venture out tomorrow, I cant wait, it really is awesome.

    Talking How sweet it is!

Hey CG - I've had my bike about three weeks and I'm still eating bugs everytime I ride. I can cruise on the flat at about 20 mph with little effort! A sweet ride it is. My speed is up about 2 MPHs on the flat and on hills as well. While I am in no danger of shedding my hill slug status just yet, I am feeling more confident and am trying some bigger/longer hills. Having this new bike makes me think I can try a 50 mile ride in two weeks. Well see! Have fun and just think of all those bugs as protien. bikerHen

Best of luck with your new bike and glad to hear you are loving it. I can relate to the smile. I find myself smiling as I am riding and think what people are saying when they see the lady on the red bike riding with a silly grin on her face. But what the heck.

Riding in bike lanes from lake to lake. That sounds wonderful. I never heard of Lakeland Fl. but it sure sounds like looking into should we decide to move out of NY.

Hope your weekend will include more glorious rides.

Nah - they were looking at the fancy sweet new bike - they probably didn't even know what sex was riding it! I'm so happy for you and the bike - so does it have a name yet?
