Threatened rain all day today. We finally got in a quick ride around the neighborhood. It was a HOT 80 degrees! Just doesn't feel right for December.

30 miles of beautiful country roads here in GA. Temp was in the lower 70s and everything was perfect. Perfect that is, except for the fact that I ate pasta with spicy sausage before I rode and it revisited me at one - two points during the ride. UGH! Now I know how my daughter feels when she says she threw up in her mouth in the pool.

Went on a 25 mile club ride from Conway to Rexville and La Conner. A beautiful zig zaggy ride through the countryside at 26 degrees! We were all laughing about how far below our "ride thresholds" this was. I'd never ridden when it was below 40 degrees, and I still consider that to be a little too cold. It's funny what a difference good company makes though; when I ride alone in the cold my mind runs in a loop about how cold it is, how miserable I am, and how eternal this makes the ride seem. Riding with a group, we're still all complaining about how cold and miserable it is, but it becomes a source of amusement somehow. Oh, and stopping at a nice brew pub in La Conner for a meal in front of the fire also makes a nice difference. Back to Spinervals today. Ho hum...

Love the LaConner brew pub! Trek and I had lunch there a couple weeks ago, and then went over to the museum next door.

Did a 27 km TT on the trainer. Oh what fun.

Yes, it is a VERY nice little place. I've lived in the NW 20 years and I'd never been to LaConner. 'tis a good excuse to go back soon!
