    Waterford in Seattle

I saw a fine teal/green waterford, just my size (about 49-50cm) for sale at Elliott Bay Bikes last night. The marked price is $1000 but I was told they would come down. It's ready to go, a nice lightweight steel frame. It was made for a woman and fits nicely. If I didn't already have the bike of my dreams I would have taken this one home.

Oooh, just a smidge too big for me...or is it? I've ridden one of your bikes, that fit me, this fits you. Hmmmmm, Knott and I could have matching bikes. Don't tempt me.

Like you I have my dream bike, this should go to another gal

Ah man, a Waterford! Those are beauties.

This past weekend, I saw a Univega mixte in my size(!) at the local GW. It was marked $29.99 and half off of that price. I was so tempted. It would be nice to have something that I can just hop on and I don't have to worry about when I go shopping. Well, not too much anyhow. But it needed a lot of work and I don't have the space(or the storage) to work on something like that right now. I think it would be kind of fun to rebuild a bike on my own though. It would give me a chance to learn to how to do repairs and such without mangling my Rodriguez. Good thing it wasn't there when I went back to make a donation the other day. I'm not so confident that I could have turned it down twice.

I just got a new/old bike. I need to put the new bike rack together so I can store the ones I've got and stage them when I show the house ..... and ride them more..... But oooh, teal Waterford. tempting and would look so good with Knott's gold Waterford, "Flossie".

Flossie looks fine next to Menace the Mondonico.

We can't have all the bikes, can we Have to leave some. Quick, someone short get it.

But I understand the feeling of panic when one is short. You see a fine bike in your size and think "I'll never find another one this beautiful in my size!"

Those are too cute! For some reason I can't stop giggling when I look at them. I used to have a thing for miniture replicas of stuff. My kids have played with and destroyed them all. I do find myself being drawn to bicycle themed decor now. They'd look cute on our mantle. Or maybe I should pick up some bicycle ornaments for the tree this year?

If the pounds the same as I recall it's 2 to 2.5 pounds to a buck, $30 range. My LBS price is slightly better than this e-Bayer....and supports an LBS. Want me to see if they have a Mercien?

Where do I keep this trivia? Trek-who can't remember &^%$ but trivia like knows what kind of bikes Mimitabby likes and what the pound was 30 years ago when I last visited-420.

thanks for thinking of me. I'd rather have a REAL mercian anyway.

Excuse me, Mimi, but this sentence makes no sense to me...
You see, having the bike of your dreams (BOYD) does not negate having other bikes in your fold...
I mean, what if BOYD doesn't feel like going out for a ride when you do? Or BOYD needs a rest day, but you want active recovery?
Thats where a purty green waterford could assist... to allow BOYD to have time of the road so BOYD is in a great mood and well-rested for your next adventure together...
Get the purty green waterford... not for you, of course, but for BOYD...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
