It is a very nice bike. Totally the wrong size for me and I just built up a "lesser bike" lesser brand name of K2.
Did the local bike shop try to relocate the front deraillure when they went and installed a compact double? The height off the big chain ring to the deraillure is important. And too the angle of the front deraillure the chain ring. From the photo, the bike has a clamp on type deraillure so it should have been easy to relocate the height. The frame geometry should not have mattered that much (at least that's my thought)

Luckily, the bike worked as beautifully with the triple as it did with the double. Phew!
