    +1 for Memphis water!

I love Little Rock's water, too. Makes my hair really soft. I worked for the water company in LR for many years and they regularly won regional water quality awards, too. But when they competed against Memphis....sorry Charlie.

Mr. Silver- I meant CLeveland Mississippi- only about 35 miles north of GVL.
My husband works (ed) in radio- he mananged a station in Greenville - and then bought into a group of stations in Cleveland & Clarksdale.-
Hey, I'm from England Arkansas- so I've always lived in the Delta, I just didn't know it for a while- I love the flatland- flat as a flitter!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

No need to apologize. That is really frightening. I think I'd investigate a serious whole house filtration system if I lived in that area. Seriously - ick!

Who thought building all that stuff there was a good idea?!?!?!

People who live up river. Oh the things on water quality - like the fact that the meds we take are not completely utilized by our bodies, and apparently survive the sewage treatment plants, so wind up in rivers and streams; one of the suspects in the reduction of fish fecundity. Or the fertilizers that run off from midwestern farms, get in the river, and cause the algae bloom (red tide) that then becomes the Dead Zone in the Gulf. We feel the effects of something that happens far up river.

Can I have some well water, please?
    Beth
