Could you post a picture of what you bought on eBay?

Does it say "B72" embossed on the skirt of the saddle?

(I'm confused by the "springs," the chrome, and the width being as narrow as a Terry.)

It does have B72 embossed on it. http://www.wallbike.com/B66B72.html The second one on that page, but mine's black.

    This one:

Did I misspeak? I meant to say it is WIDE like my Terry Butterfly. (dang this cat trying to make biscuits on my chest while I try to type!)

    Pictures! Pictures!

    (I almost bought a B72, it was a toss-up between a B72 and a B67. I think B72's are sooooo sexy!)

The pictures of the saddle can be found here:

The pitting and schmutz can be seen in these two pics attached. It's hard to tell if that's rust on the underside of the leather or the original
color of the leather showing through. Harris Cyclery's site said they don't make the B72 with chromed springs anymore. I'm looking forward to putting it on the bike, but first I have to get new tubes and tires for it.

your saddle looks great. why don't you wipe the springs down with something
and clean and dry them. it looks fine to me.
