Well, I didn't do any journaling over the Thanksgiving weekend, but now that Monday is here, I am planning on starting my food and exercise log again.

    I am down .4 of a pound - 141.6

    October 12th - 144
    October 27th - 148
    October 29th - 146
    October 30th - 144
November 5th - 143 (This was the official starting date)
    November 13th - 142.0 (I now have a digital scale)
    November 26th - 141.6

At least it is moving in the right direction...

    Happy Monday all!

I was chicken and didn't weigh this morning. I haven't been going nuts food-wise but I haven't been good either. I've also not ridden in the past 1.5 weeks because of a cold. I thought I was better and considered a ride yesterday but got busy around the house and didn't. Probably a good thing as the cold seems to be back with a sore throat today. I've been sitting around the house not getting anything done today and feeling sorry for myself.

BUT I thought I'd better check out the wonder TE ladies and decided I'd better weigh in and take a hot shower to help my throat and chest. Surprise! The scale still shows 161 and I'm thrilled. I was sure it would be up! Hopefully I'll ride in the morning and I WILL get back to eating healthy!!!!

Great job to everyone who survived Turkey Day (even if you didn't celebrate it )

I weighed yesterday morning, and was down .8 pound- I'll take it! After the cookie baking yesterday afternoon, I am not sure it'll stay off, but I'm a happy camper for now.

BTW, anybody weigh more than their significant other? I outweigh mine, who is 6'3" and 150 pounds, by a good 25 pounds- how humiliating is that?

I too weigh more then DH. He is 5'10" and weighs 140 I am still at 149, no loss or gain. I went for a nice ride yeterday. It was a little cool, but nice enough to enjoy the day. I didn't over eat over the weekend which was a good thing and I am proud of myself for not having any more desert after Thanksgiving Day.

If I ever weigh more than my husband, I'll shoot myself. We've always been about a hundred pounds apart in weight, and 15" apart in height.

Alright. Last week I weighed in at 120. This week I'm up between a half pound and a pound. My scale can't decide (my apartment is in an old house and the floor slopes, which makes getting a reliable scale result a little tricky sometimes).

It's going to be a rough three weeks (finals, papers) but I will try my best to get back on track.

I like that explanation. I'm in a 3 family that's over 120 years old. This morning I stepped on and it was 124.4. Stepped off, then back on and it was 125.6! How did I gain 1lb in 10 seconds? My scale also seems to be unreliable. It tends to give the same reading for days on end and then will suddenly start jumping around. There's a scale at work that I think I'll hop on after I work out tonight. I will confess to a bit of emotional eating last night when I found out a very good friend was in hospice. Fortunately there was only about a scoop of the low-fat ice cream left, but I doused it in Hershey's. This kind of scares me into wanting to really, really take care of myself, but I'm also getting that "what's the point?" feeling. I'm sure it'll pass.

My BF is naturally thin, so it's a strong incentive for me to stay under his weight, but it's tough!
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

Well I'm only down about a half pound to 147.5. But after last week I'll take it. Whew it was pretty stressful.

NoNo - I know exactly how you feel. My family has had a lot of health problems this year. Every time I hear something new I feel like I should take it as a warning and really take care of my body, but at the same time the stress of it all makes comfort food/eating really really tempting.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. One holiday down!

I need some help. I just can't get myself motivated to start, stay on, diet, etc.... I was off work for 5 months due to a work injury, I was riding regularly, etc..., cutting down on my food intake, healthy eating, went back to work June 20th, still rode. For one thing I'm under alot of stress, not doing my regular job(doctor says I need a different job), between getting paid at a lower job and worker's comp(losing $$$$) - I need to make a decision, whether to just chuck the whole worker's comp and go back to my job(and work in pain) or hang in there and be patient and hopefully will find another job(with my employer) that will pay me what I was making. Plus, DGF is unemployed and has some mental health problems. So more stress. Sorry, this is off the weight loss track and not motivating for those of you that are doing so well on your weight losses. Thanks for letting me vent.
