No turkey-day here, but I rode anyway. Did a 20 mile ride on my way home from work and it felt great! Just enough moon-light out to show me where the road was so I didn't have to slow down too much on the downhills. We had done an early thanksgiving on Saturday, and I was looking forward to having the last leftover piece of apple pie after my ride. Very disappointed to find that it had already gone mouldy! Such a waste of delicious pie!

Nice photo, Regina. It definitely was beautiful. We're gonna have to watch for warm weather forecasts through the winter so we can get back out there sometime before spring!
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."

Yesterday I ran for 30 min. on the trail, then rode for about 30. It was BAC (bite a** cold) outside, and I was starting to freeze, so I packed up. Was only about 30 with WC of about 20. Brrrrr... (that's really cold to me, btw- you northern ladies would think that's spring like ).
DH and I are going to ride Clear Bay trails today: a nice 16 mile singletrack through some pretty technical and tough terrain. Better make the most, as it'll be raining/slightly snowing tomorrow.

We rode yesterday briefly - didn't quite get up early enough to get in a longer ride and prepare the food we needed to take to our family Thanksgiving.

It was a lovely morning, though. Lots of wind, but very warm (shorts and short sleeves). Lots of leaves on the streets to fly up when riding Today, it's about 30 degrees colder Ah well. It is Fall and the warm temperatures couldn't last forever...

DH and I snuck in a little 13 mile pretty country ride on Thanksgiving morning, before my daughter and her partner were awake yet.

I managed to get out for a 26 mile ride. It was soooo cold! 22 degrees F!
Thankfully (it was Thanksgiving, after all ), I have plenty of cold weather gear.

    I bundled myself up good:

    2 base layers,
    arm warmers,
    2 jackets,
    tights,
    shorts,
    wool socks,
    shoe covers,
    ear warmers,
    balaclava,
    and 2 pairs of gloves.

Whew! It almost took me longer to get dressed than it did to ride!
If you can read this, take a pull.

I snuck in a quick 1 hr. ride yesterday. By body had a hard time with it since we've been hovering around the 70's forever and yesterday was 40! Big shock to go from t-shirt and shorts the day before and cold the next. We even had a little snow last night!

My sister and I did our 20 mile loop to the Idaho stateline and back. Sunny but the temp was low to mid 30's. We both forgot our water bottles so we had to stop and buy a bottle to share. We skipped lunch and came home to a very filling Thanksgiving dinner. Dinner never tasted so goooood! Especially since I didn't have to cook! bikerHen
