    Ok...I have to ask since I'm following this whole thread:

    SadieKate: is the red line shooting off into nowhere your heartrate at the thought of doing this climb?.....or is it an actual gird line of ?something?

    It's the girdle under my skirtle, oh no, that was Fixedgirl's line. The red line is Quimby Road compared to Jo's proposed route up Mt Hamilton Rd. They actually join at a junction before continuing on Mt Ham Rd to the peak. So, if you survive the climb up Quimby you have to drop down to the junction and then re-gain the lost elevation.
