I promise to snap a shot or two tomorrow evening once I have the bike home. I promised my boss I would work Friday school earlier this week so I won't be able to journey into Louisville until close to 6 p.m. to pick it up and bring it home. I guess I'll sit and stare at it tomorrow evening. Weather forecast for Saturday is looking good so I hope to spend the day enjoying my new ride. I hope my other bike does not get jealous. I've decide to keep my little blue bike on my trainer and use it as a training bike in the spring. It weighs 31 pounds so the new bike is going be fun. I'm amazed at how light my new bike it, feels like a feather next to my "tank." I hope the drop in my weight and the drop in the bike weight produces faster speeds.

All I can say is "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to me!" I simply can't believe I spent that much money on a bike but I did and I'm going to enjoy it to the max.

Very cool, congrats!!! I know the feeling of being amazed by a light bike; I'd been riding my MTB with racks, etc. for a long time & when I got my road bike I was surprised every time I lifted it.

From the website it looks like a sweet bike!!!

My LBS does a pro fit but when I got my road bike I wanted a chance to get used to it before doing the 'real' fit so they did a preliminary fit when I got it and then I went back a few weeks later when I was more aware of what I liked & what I wanted to change & we did the full fit. That worked out well and I felt like I could have some input then. That worked out really well for me, but it was my first road bike too.

    Congrats! Here's the question:

How long will it be before you stop 'reaching down' to shift gears?

We'll look forward to seeing it at the Horsey next year!

Mr. Silver I can always claim I'm looking for my water bottle . I guess this will be like going from a manual transmission to an automatic.

That's funny, I went through that last spring when I demo'ed a new bike, and the REALLY funny thing was that it had been 12 years since I last rode a road bike with down tube shifters. I'd been riding a hybrid with grip shifters for three years... but as soon as I got on that road bike, the down tube is where they were supposed to be.

Then I rehabbed my old bike with the down tube shifters and rode that all last summer, and had to get over it all over again when I got a new bike this spring

Congratulations on your new bike. When I went from an aluminum to an all carbon bike I was hoping to be faster too. But I soon realized that the bike still had the same engine...me. I was a little bit faster, but not much. But the bike was so much more enjoyable to ride. Here's hoping you're faster and that the ride is sweeter.

I'm not happy at the moment - I can't get my computer to recognize my camera. I so want to show off my beautiful new sleek bike -da** technology

But here is some information on my new addition
    triple (50-39-30)
    10 speed (25-12)
20 lbs (feels a lot lighter to me)
    nice, very nice
    49 cm
    pearl white with silver/black accents

taking it out for a spin or two tomorrow. Almost wish I had not committed to something on Sunday for I would spend the day riding but I must keep my word.

if i ever figure out what the problem is with my computer i promise i'll post a photo or two of my beautiful new, awsome, sleek, elegant, i could keep going up i'll refrain, bicycle.
