    My apologies to all of you who have been frustrated trying to make a purchase during our 1/2 off sale. Believe me, no one feels worse than I do when we leave customers feeling less than absolutely thrilled with our products and our service.

    Since I'm a geek, let me fill you in a bit on what's happened. This sale started as a mailing to a small, select group of customers and very quickly assumed a life of its own! It's not that our web servers aren't up to the traffic -- it's that some gliches in our code were exposed when the volume ramped up. We've been working behind the scenes to correct the problems.

    But for those of you who waited patiently and still couldn't complete an order, or who attempted to phone in your order and got a busy signal, that's no consolation.

    I definitely don't want you to feel like you lost out on the sale. If any of you wanted to order but couldn't because of our technical issues, please give us a call (800-289-8379) sometime in the next few days. We'll honor the sale price.

    Again, please accept my apologies. Thanks to all of you for your robust discussion of our sale!

    I just had about 8 items in my cart, and when I went to check out, after putting in my credit card info and trying to get the order to be placed, it came back with "your shopping cart is empty". No matter what I did, I could not get the items back, and of course I hadn't written down the item numbers.

    So, there are still some technical glitches on the site.

    I am going to try once more, and if it still doesn't work, I'll call in a day or two and place the order that way (hoping the items are still in stock).

    Wow! I'm blown away that Ms. Terry herself would come and help us out! That's pretty cool. With your permission, I'll cross-post on our club (private) forum. We have a thread there about the problems with ordering. I placed one successfully online, but had the same problem with the second order -- it dumped my cart twice, asked for a password where there was no place to enter. I called that one in. Bike cube for me too!

    Hey Georgena, thanks for posting! FYI, some of us ended up placing multiple orders since the shopping carts couldn't hold much, so ask your staff to group orders by account to not waste money on multiple shipments to the same address. Also, can you tell us if you will let us exchange items at the sale price if we order the wrong size. Otherwise some of us are ordering items in multiple sizes to return what doesn't fit. Lastly, now that you've joined TE, PLEASE STICK AROUND. We get lots of querries on bike fit, and even Terry bikes, so it would be great to have you on board and participating.

    I had to place to seperate orders. But I gotta say I am very happy about this sale. I would like tobe included on the special sale for next year (if there is one) and that way i can be prepared and just call in.

    The Terry site is really overloaded now....now I can't even get one item in my cart to "stick" when I go to check out. Wish I'd done this earlier today before everyone got home from work (I was home sick today). I've at least made a list of all the items I want to order on the phone, but no guarantee that they will still be in stock when I call tomorrow (I know they'll be too swamped tonight).

    Emily, I called my order in during lunch, and I got through almost immediately. I would give it a shot. The woman who answered was very patient, and didn't seem stressed at all. Feel better, and try it!

    I got one of the emails announcing the sale. You could too, you just need to sign up to receive their newsletters. Every once in awhile they have unadvertised specials and sales that only go to those on the newsletter email list.

    I got on to the website over my lunch time, and ordered 1/2 dozen items - was in and out in about 10 minutes. Got lucky with the timing. Now to just wait for my package!!!

    I have tried to order online from your site before, but the bugginess defeated me. Did manage this time though. I'm looking to my sweater and bike cube.

    BTW, we do talk about actual cycling, not just what we buy for it, so come back and chat.

    Nevermind. It's probably best that I didn't know about the sale, as I just got some items from TE and I'm set w/winter gear.
