Yes in fact I surely do!!! Get several boxes that can be nested into each other. For each box, get a silly card, It must get progressivelly silly-er. Into the smallest box, place a lump of coal or charcoal brickette. with a hand written note. You can say whatever you want something nice would be good. then wrap the box up in a beautiful wrapping. Place the box into the next larger box, add the silly-ist card then wrap it up in little less beautiful wrapping paper. repeat three or four more times. The last one should use a plain brown paper bag.

Alternative is to leave the last box completely empty, just a bautiful box.

Tickets to some event he would like---sports, music, whatever.

Gift certificate for a weekend away in some cool place. Or a great dinner.

didn't want to sound like too much like beauty pagent contestant but alpinerabbit already did with world peace.

So I don't feel too bad about sounding too much like the air head pagent contestant.

Yes I would like to see world peace.

Clean air, clean water and all the endangered animals to return from brink of extinction. I would like to see humanity to care more about nature. Like doing something about global warming, recycling...

These things would make me very happy. I've done lot of things in my life, I have had toys in my life but really, to find inner peace and contentment, it has to come from the heart. Maybe my ex was right, I belong in a convent. don't care for cable or direct TV, don't care for fancy car, don't care for the mega-sized home (besides I don't want to be cleaning all the time). A nice bike, good health, good chai latte and circle of bestest friends evar...

Unfortunately, he has almost all that stuff, already!

He doesn't have a bike cube though, so I'm definitely going to try getting one from Terry for him. That's a good idea! Thanks!

I also like the box idea...definitely going to use that, too!

Tickets would also be good, except that there is rarely anything good around here that he'd want to see. I got him a 'Braves' weekend for his birthday last year since that's his favorite team (and sport).

    Thanks for the ideas, all!

    My Christmas/channuka wish list:

Lots and lots of snow. Big piles of fluffy white stuff that goes phlumph when BF falls over trying to learn how to ski.

For BF to feel better and no longer be tired and stressed and sick and achy.

For BF to be offered the perfect job in a great location (and if possible the same for me in the same location).

And if I still have any wishes left.....a Garmin 305 or similar gadget would be very nice too...

I'm to cynical to think we'll ever see world peace. I'd settle for world tolerance. Or world grudging acceptance.

I would mostly like my mom to get better.
I guess I'd like a job I enjoy more. I wish I knew what I wanted to be when I grow up!

I really have all I need. Most of the material things I want are ridiculous, trivial, and expensive....and generally not something you could put under a tree...and not something I'm likely to see (but I can dream, right?)....
....An Audi TT roadster, just for fun
....A Seven Mudhoney 'cross bike set up as a wicked cool commuter
....new carpets and flooring for the basement and refinishing the hardwood upstairs.

Well, I definitely what a whole bunch of stuff. I can take care of my baby's and DH's fishes. I know that I have big dreams and wishes which I am going to make for Christmas and New Year's but I am not anticipating them to happen quickly. Yeah, I am talking world peace, the end of AIDS and other incurables, famine and so on. But realistically here is my wish list:

A variety if spa packages, facials, massages, body wraps, hydrobaths ... you name it.

Air tickets for me, DH and our baby to go see my family in Ukraine.

New car - I will take Nissan Rogue (baby Murano)

Assos gloves. Basically any Assos stuff because I love it.

    Tennis warm up suit

A gift card with a lot of money to Victoria's Secret.

    Cleaning service for my house.

Find out that we are going to have a second baby!

Okay, this is going to sound weird, but I got this for my DH one year and he loves it. He sits and relaxes and spins. Also, bicyclists make excellent spinners, because they have the cadence thing down. It's cool. And it's cool when guys do it. You can get fiber from anywhere - check for local alpaca or merino sheep wool farms. He can then sell his yarn, which is in high demand these days with the knitting craze....

I can do five more miles.

A trouble free transition from our life in the USA to our new life in Australia.
Hopes that my husband will get the job he is after and that after 25 years in the military we will adapt to life as civilians.

That a great house will come along that is in our price range and has the required huge tree for that beloved tree house the boys have been dreaming of.

Happiness and inner peace for all my friends here at TE.
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
