C'mon guys! Quit getting down on yourselves!
Now, I'm not trying to call anyone out, and I mean everything I say with the utmost respect and goodwill.
You don't have to be an angel 100% of the time. It's okay to have a small slice of cheesecake, a couple of cookies, or a soda or two. Hell, I make it a point to have a dessert-style snack once daily just to keep me sane, and since I know I'm getting that little treat after dinner it helps me keep everything else under check throughout the day. I noticed one user mentioned chips and salsa as a poor choice. In my opinion that's a fairly healthy snack. It's not like a king-size snickers or anything!
Now I'm not saying eat the whole cake or an entire tin of cookies, but mental health is just as important as physical health and if we start associating dessert-style foods with "bad", then we down ourselves for indulging every once in a while and I think that mental state and the way it makes us feel about ourselves can do far more damage than a couple of cookies ever will.
Just use your heads, watch your portion sizes, and remember that even the healthiest foodstuffs in excess can be bad for you. Hell, everything's bad for something.
