Weighed in this morning and I didn't budge from last Thursday's weight...but for me, that's something. I'm usually heavier on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I'm fine with it and hoping to post a loss by Thursday.
Rode 50 miles with DH yesterday. It was my first ride in 2 weeks and I'm quite proud of myself for having accomplished it and for not being the slow one!![]()
start: 159.2
today: 158.6

Weekly weigh-in!

I've been very good this past week except for last night. I have a big exam early this week and I've been stressed about studying for it, then over dinner last night I had a fight with my boyfriend, which upset me both in and of itself and because I knew it was going to make it hard for me to study... So I had a bowl of ice cream and too many nuts, both of which were definitely not in my plan... Arrrgh... Hopefully I didn't actually GAIN anything back, just stalled loss...
Oh boy, someone moved my scale. Sounds like an excuse, but I couldn't have gained 4 lbs since Thursday. I just couldn't have. Not as much as I've been working and walking and working out. My scale is tempermental. If I leave it one place I at least know it's not the scale. Someone moved it.
We had friends here and I didn't even drink any alcohol. I skipped supper last night. I just measured and my measurements are the same.
Since I have to reestablish my baseline weight, I'm going to leave my stats the same for now. It'd be really easy to get down about it, but my goals aren't all tied up in my weight. I'm really wanting to be fit. I've been consistently active, going to class, walking the dogs 3 miles on off days, laboring around the house. I'm just choosing to be happy with that.

caribou - Sorry you're going through a rough patch with dh. Be sure to make time for you and ride lots. It's very therapeutic to "escape" onto the bike. Healing vibes coming your way. {{{caribou}}}
I don't know about anyone else but my weight has a tendency to fluctuate by 2-3lbs on a normal basis. Last Monday I was 163.5, Thursday was 162.0, but today it's back up to 164.5.Time to get serious and move that number down into the 150s!!! I hate journaling my food but I think it will help me get back on track so I'll start that today. No riding for me today. We're under a wind advisory and it's going to rain. Tomorrow should be nice though!

I started feeling a cold coming on last week, so I didn't do my normal early morning trainer rides for several days. But the cold never amounted to much of anything, so I did a short flat 20 miler yesterday. I seem okay today, so I hope to get back on track with my usual workouts. And get a ride in today since I off work for the holiday.
Starting weight - 136.2 (I didn't put the fraction in my initial post)
Today - 134.8
Until I get down five pounds and don't regain them, I won't be sure I've actually lost real weight or am just fluctuating with water weight.
Keep up the good work everyone. If I can get through the holidays without gaining, I'll be happy. But if I can actually lose, well, that will icing on the cake...uh...so to speak.

So my birthday weekend came and went. I thought I had done really well but let myself enjoy my birthday. Last night I had homemade mac and cheese, endive salad, and a small piece of homemade bday cake. I would have liked to go out but there are no restaurants here that are very good.
Initially I estimated my weight at 148 when I joined on Thurs (I think) but when I weighed this morning I was a shocking (to me at least) 150.5. Sigh. I wasn't expecting a loss actually because I joined late but I was expecting the weight I've been for the past few months. I have a sneaky suspicion some of it is water because (maybe tmi alert) my breasts have been really tender and swollen the past few days. It may be my period coming, even though I'm on the pill I get this sometimes. And I know I'm not pregnant because I don't have a bf right now. Ok end that info, haha.
So I guess today I start w/ solid knowledge of my weight and will work hard to see it go down. I'm also taking my bike in to have a rear slick tire put on for my trainer, so that will help. I think I need to work a bit more on a structured plan, too.
Congrats on everyone who saw a loss the past week! Yay!
No weight to post today --- I don't have a scale, so I have to use the Fed Ex scale at work, and this morning, there was a 47 lb. box on it and I had breakfast and tea by the time it was moved. So, I'll weigh in tomorrow. I did good over the weekend -- actually, I probably didn't eat properly for the riding I did. All, TMI alert, but it's that time for me too. Oh well.
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
