Since I've always been part of a household or shared-house situation, being alone is a novety.

    Here's today's plans.
Ride bike, eat left over KFC chicken, have shower, in bathrobe watch Schlinder's List (with light's off, nibbling on some chocolate & Diet coke) whilst trying not to cry at the end.

    Happy riding

When I'm home alone I do this... sit at the computer and get all tangled up in the neverending journey in cyberspace. I'm like a kid with ADD on the computer. I go to one site, then see a link or think of someplace else to go- then read a blog here and there and 3 hours later I wonder where the time went.

Enjoy your week alone! Solitude can be a good thing for the soul. It's why I like my bike so much.

Send the cats upstairs. Open a beverage. Pop in a CD or music DVD. Fire up these babies and make sonic mayhem.

I have not been home alone for months. And when I am, it's usually only for an hour or two on a weekend afternoon....

Last time I was home alone for a week....

I PLANNED to spend some time in my sewing room. Finish a couple of projects.

That was almost a year ago. Those projects are not done yet.

I was in my bathroom, and decided I couldn't look at that wall paper for one more week. What the heck, I thought. It's only going to take a few hours to pull it off the walls, and by tomorrow night I can have them freshly painted, and THEN I'll sew all week long.

    Yeah, right....

The paper didn't want to come. It took parts of the sheet rock with it. The room was SCARY.

I got a mess of plaster, and started troweling it on. Eventually, I had all of the walls completely covered with a great texture. Then came primer, paint, and then, the worst part: the clean up!

It kept me busy every available minute of the entire week, and I never did do any sewing!

Ditto but I do have a fantasy that involves DH & 3 boys going away for 4 days. Day 1, I get to clean the house from top to bottom. Noone around to mess up where I have just tidied. Change sheets to white ones, have a bath & get into bed early with a good book. Day 2 - wake up, lie in bed realise I am alone in house. Feel the cleanness all around me. Bliss. Get up go to kitchen to make coffee - wow it's still clean from yesterday.

Spend next 3 days enjoying tidy quiet home, eating when & what I want - you know how sop is a meal for a woman, but not for a man. Just that kind of thing.

i am however confused about how this became my fantasy. When did raunchy get replaced with tidy????
