I am sticking to it today! And that gloomy morning weather turned into GORGEOUS afternoon weather! I just got back from a wonderful 25 mile ride. And for lunch I had a small piece of broiled chicken breast (boneless and skinless) and rice. Breakfast was good too. Oatmeal! So to everyone who did bad yesterday (like me) just jump back on the wagon today! And don't give up.

Hope you're feeling better today kelownagirl!

Hey guys. I've been away for a bit, not doing so well. Wednesday I came down with a really bad UTI, the worst I've ever experienced. I'll spare you the details, but I almost ended up going to the ER because of the pain. Fortunately the local Care Now was open and I could be seen almost immediately.

They've got me on some meds for the next 10 days, but it's really been working a number on my stomach. Haven't eaten much for the last few days, but I finally regained my appetite today. Skipped breakfast, had a salad and baked potato from Wendy's for lunch, but "dinner" is what got me. I work the night shift, and one of the guys went out and bought what looked like $20 worth of $0.99 double cheeseburgers from McDonalds.

    I ate three.

I guess it's a good thing that I'm starting to feel better and am getting my appetite back, but seriously... THREE?

Haven't jumped on the scale since Monday, I suppose I'll just wait a couple more days and do it on a weekly basis.

Congrats to all the chicks out there that are staying strong!

(And as a side note to Firenze, no I've never seen a green slime surface on a bowl of oats. To the best of my knowledge they don't go bad, so I have no clue what happened there.)

Doesn't it just blow you away that we can do that? I am amazed at my lack of will power sometimes...

I know, it sucks. But at that point I was just happy to be eating SOMETHING without getting nauseous that I didn't really care what it was.

At least I kept away from the donuts.

My lack of will power these days is pathetic! I was doing so well yesterday. Had a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner, went for a wonderful bike ride . . . then on my home from the store last night I bought a small waffle cone blizzard.

I used to have such great will power when it came to food but lately I just give in to my sad evil sugar junky voice! Arrgh!

I had a great day yesterday. No snacking at all. Last night when I got hungry I had a big cup of diet hot chocolate. That satisfied me. The key for me on weekends is to stay busy. I was so busy yesterday I didn't think about snacking.

Made some poor choices over ther weekend. Had some chips and salsa and home made pumpkin bread. I have been in a down mood lately which doesn't help. It is "that time" too which doesn't make it any easier. And a few of my co-workers have just been picking at me for no reason. They mimick things I say or just contradict me. I just wish I knew, like I am sure most of you, which eating plan would work. I eat pretty well to begin with. Keep my calories at about 1400. I don't eat any fast food. Sorry for my poor me scenario..It will be bettern next time

    Staying accountable:

    Monday, November 12

    Calories: 1277
    Exercise: 1 1/2 hours swimming
    Water: 64 ounces
    Vitamins/Supplements: Multivitamin, Calcium, Soy, Flaxseed
    Weight: 143

    Tuesday, November 13
    Calories: 1746
    Exercise: 30 minutes aerobics
    Water: 64 ounces
    Vitamins/Supplements: Multivitamin, Calcium, Soy, Flaxseed
    Weight: 142 - Down 1 pound!

I am totally wiped out from my swim workout yesterday - 90 minutes of hard work - everything on my body is tired! So today I only did an easy 15 minutes on a recumbant bike and worked on my pull-ups.

Today was a teacher work day at school and we all brought in a favorite Thanksgiving dish and had a wonderful "Thanksgiving dinner" for lunch. There was a ton of food, so it was good practice for me for the real thing next Thursday.

I ate turkey, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, turnips, corn, a small roll, and fruit for dessert. Not too bad!

My calories are up a little for the day, but at least I didn't go totally crazy.

Kelowna -- two gingersnaps is okay, unless they're BIG gingersnaps. I say you forgive yourself!
