I put Chris King (I think) Ti water bottle cages on my Legolas last year. I think they were more than that. If you have the money, why not? It's your money.

Go for it! If you end up getting something else, you'll be sorry. At least that's how it works with me. :-)
I've got this cage on my Glorius and haven't regretted spending the money for one minute. It's a work of art.
If you want it, get it.
SmilingCat, you are the QUEEN of finding good deals. Would love a little short course on this.
When I think about trying to find good deals like you do, I always feel a lack of confidence (what do I look for, how do I know it is a good deal, are people who offer these deals trustworthy, what if stuff is damaged...what is it with all these confidence fears, anyhow?).

I just put two of these on my new bike. I kinda felt silly spending so much but 1. they gave me a good discount since I got them at the same time I got th new bike. and 2. They match!
I would spend the money. if you are like me, and your bike and riding are staples in your life, I would go for it. I race and originally had super inexpensive bottle cages on my bike, and the bottles fell right out in the middle of a crit!!! Not good. I went back and spent more on the right bottle cages (and got them to match my frame) and no more bottles falling out to the wayside (or potentially causing crashes). I would get the cages.
I have the Nittos on my Rambouillet. They are nice looking.

I bought 2 really nice carbon (black) cages for my road bike when I bought and then realized cause of the size of frame that they both did not fit on my frame. So, I gave one to my hubby - who then wanted to buy another cause he needed two that matched!
How could I say no! Of course, I told him to go for it!![]()
King but not Chris.![]()

I use either King stainless or ti on several of my bikes. They don't mark up the bottles. I really like the Iris cage.
