Bad day for me. I was doing good until lunch time. I finished eating my healthy lunch and just couldn't resist the birthday cake sitting in the middle of the table in the staff lounge. It was delicious and I enjoyed it until I finished the last bite. Then I was mad at myself for giving in. Starting from square one again tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a new day Susan. Back on the wagon. Maybe we should make a rule. You can't have two bad days in a row. I'm going to make it a rule for myself anyway.

Did good today. Well -- I already abandoned the South Beach Phase 1 idea after one day :~. When I was bonking just sitting at my desk, I knew I wouldn't make it through my hard-for-me group ride tonight. They had bagels for breakfast at work, so I just grabbed a few spoonfuls of peanut butter. Ate half and was fine until lunch. Mixed greens, red peppers and turkey salad for lunch. By 4:30, I knew I wouldn't make it through my 6:30 ride, so off the South Beach wagon and I grabbed a banana and sliced it into the rest of my peanut butter. When I realized that lots of fast women were riding tonight too, I grabbed a gu right before we started. I didn't get dropped (usually do) so all was good. After the ride, a homemade veggie soup (split peas, lima beans, shredded cabbage and kale, and mushrooms in a chicken base -- yum!)

I think I need to just stick to what I know is good, clean food. I was gonna do South Beach, or Paleo/Caveman, but I think I just need to eat clean. Lean proteins, nuts and seeds, low-fat dairy, high-fiber grains, tons of veggies and fruit. I'll call it the Pedal Wench Diet and let y'all know how it goes!

I like having to be accountable. Thanks for listening!
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

No movement on the scale yet, but I wasn't expecting it this soon. Ate well yesterday and did an hour on the elliptical. Having lost all the "extra" weight a few years ago, I think it's going to be a few weeks of continuous exercise that will move the scale. Even if it doesn't move, all this working out can't be bad for me Have a happy Thanksgiving all! Enjoy the day off!!
