xeney - buy the Ebay Puch/Austro-Daimler mixte, and if it doesn't fit you I'll buy it from you.

Knotted, you are killing me trying to get everybody to buy that bike so you can buy it from them.

Thanks for the compliments directed towards my Moto....

Wow that eBay mixte is sick...

There's a little grey mid 80's KHS mixte at my local used bike sellers. CroMo frame, Suntour Cyclone RD...should I snap a pix next time I'm there?

Hey, where is East Hill anyway?

I don't believe the Austro-Daimler Michelle was a very high end model...what kind of steel is the frame? Is it just Hi-ten? He wants a bit too much I'd say...

It's nice, but then I like almost any mixte.

I like the one in my LBS. He only wants $150. It's not real minty but it's solid. Tuned with new tires...north road bars.

My 2 cents on a few things I see:
The new shifters are lame. Also what's with the hood/brake setup, is that normal? They look kind of deformed, like a hospital cast. I'd prefer this shifter/brake setup for the nice existing moustache bars it has:

Those changes would cost some money, no doubt.
And the bottle cage was put hanging on the front because they wanted the pump on the frame where a bottle cage would normally go. Looks like it has plenty of tire clearance in the brakes to take nice wider tires 34-38's that wouldn't get many flats anyway, so you could put a smaller portable or a CO2 pump in a seat bag instead hauling the big pump everywhere with you.

Noteworthy also is the very short stem on there- must be a 4-5mm reach stem. I had one of those 5's and it made the bike jittery to steer. Hopefully you could put at least a 7 on there.
