The other night DH and I were having dinner, and at the next table was a running club having their post-run dinner. We couldn't help overhearing a lot of their conversation. But really, has it been so long since y'all were in the lustful hormone-driven throes of a new relationship? Well, okay, it HAS been that long for me, but at least I remember it. Like Wahine, I guess I just have to chime in. When I was married (to a man 20 years older than me), we both endured all kinds of rude comments & assumptions about why we were together. Some of the comments were made innocently, but after the 100th time, still bugged us a little...I mean, what gives? Others were downright snide and hurtful.
I know this thread is discussing all kinds of things, from opinions on everything from celebrity-worship to PDAs, not just the age difference. But, as one who put up with comments from well-meaning family to total strangers, it just gets old.
