    Halloween Rides!

Happy Halloween! Too bad there isn't a jack-o-lantern emoticon. Here, just pretend this is orange:

I had a GREAT ride today! I hope you all did too. The weather here was absolutely gorgeous, so I put on an orange jersey and my skull socks and headed out for a 35-ish mile ride. The fall colors are so pretty, especially with a bright blue sky as the backdrop. The squirrels were out in force collecting acorns, I scared three deer half to death, and I saw a fox cross the road. I wish I had the day off tomorrow so I could get out and ride again!

sounds beautiful! I was only able to get out during lunch- I'd taken my bike to work to take it to the LBS for the chain skipping. They only took a few minutes with it, and I had to go for a ride after. We had sunshine but lots of wind- riding into the wind I really had to work but it was so easy coming back. I only had 20-30 minutes to ride, I hated loading the bike back up and getting back to work. I still had enough daylight to make a couple of loops around the dirt path around my property when I got home.

This week would have been great to play hookie from work. Darn!!!

There is hardly any daylight left for my after work rides, so no ride for me, not even the trainer because the little trick or treaters were visiting for there goodies

We have a tropical storm sitting somewhere off the coast, so the winds here were to bad to ride(gusting in the 30s). I spent 2 hours on the trainer and haven't been this sore in ages!! Hard 2 hours:-)

We had a nice (but short due to daylight constraints) ride. I would have worn an orange jersey had I had one, but anyway.... I told hubby that we should have hung trick or treat bags from the handle bars and then we could have made stops along the way for CANDY! Maybe next year

I'm so sad about daylight savings ending (or starting, or whatever). This is usually my favorite time of the year what with lowers temps and the "extra" hour of sleep, but now that we've starting cycling, I'm stressed about less riding time! I guess we'll have to get brave enough to ride after dark
