BTW, Trek, a thought for next year just struck me while looking at LBTC's Halloween yard pics over on OTA. Just a simple idea -- a luminous "dead hand" in an empty sleeve hanging out of the door to the storage space up in the garage roof above our entranceway. Hmmm? You think? That and a jack o'lantern on the front porch, and maybe some cobweb spray, that should do it. If you see a hand like that in the after-Halloween sales nearby, could you pick one up for me? Possibly also cobwebs in some material or other. We don't get that kind of thing over here, Halloween being a recent cultural import.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
