Ah. Yes. Well being that I have over 100 pairs of shoes (perhaps 150 counting cycling shoes and running/hiking shoes, etc) some are stilettos. And yes, I have the infamous 6" heels! I don't have the light-up kind, alas, but my instructor does.
Here's what I've learned. It is FAR easier to go quickly in heels than not. I can run in 'emWhen I fall over is when I try to walk very slowly.
Did not know of such a race. Might be worth finding videos of!
Man, i normally can't walk in heels. My friend tried so hard to shoe shop with me for a heeled shoe that wasn't high! We eventually found a pair.
I'll leave stiletto racing to you ladies!

There may be vids on Youtube. Watched it not so long ago and was seriously impressed by the winner. I don't know time, but she was cooking. I'd imagine she ran the distance in stilletos faster than I could in sneaks!
K.
there is an annual 'high heel race' in DC around halloween. of course it is men doing the running, but some are better in high heels than i ever could be.
here is a youtube video from last year, view at your own risk as there is off-color language and more than a little irreverant poking fun at people. just warning ahead of time.

wonder if they would consider adding a biking component to the evening?
on a side note, my brother in law rode in the MS ride from the jersey shore to philly and he said that every year there is a woman who rides it in high heels and a tutu? i think that's what he said.![]()
