That's awesome (and VERY significant).

Amanda, I should have kept my mouth shut! And to rub salt in the wound you had to get 8 miles ahead of me!! And I can't even ride tomorrow.
Yes, the race is on.
Thanks everyone. Mr. Silver, what do you mean by "significant?"
Lisa, you seem to just get further and further ahead...you are really logging the miles. But, Silver just blows me away. I can't even imagine riding that many miles in a year.
As we must account for every idle word, so must we account for every idle silence." ~Benjamin Franklin
I'll translate for my DH.I think he means that it's a huge achievement....I'm important milestone worthy of celebrating! My 3,000 mark this year is the only one that I watched for on the odometer, that I celebrated and told people about. So....I completely agree with him.....Congratulations for your accomplishment!!!!!
I am very fortunate to have the opportunities to ride a lot. It's in part for the hard work that Mr. does to provide for me so that I do not have to work full time (and I appreciate him for that...but don't tell him that often enough) I do have some unusual restraints on my time because of Mr.'s working out of town (can't take any job that requires work during the weekend and my "on-call" status with the in-laws and kids). These things require that I get most of my miles during the week while the kids are at school (our kids are teens and do not require constant attention) and worked around the needs of the in-laws. sometimes they don't require anything and I get the opportunity to ride a lot and I try to take advantage of those times.

I was actually surprised to log on and see you had leaped over me on Bike Journal. Last week it was way to windy to ride after work and next week it will be too dark. You beat me to 2,000 and 3,000 so you are winning the milestone race. Hooray for mild winters- 3,500 is still in sight!
Oh and I forgot last night- CONGRATULATIONS!!![]()
