Well, I walk our dog every day; does that count? This spring we noticed that he needed to lose a little weight, so we started walking him 1-2 miles twice a day, slowly at first, then as he got fitter, we picked up the pace. After several months of this, I've noticed that not only is Jack slimmer, my waistline is smaller! It has to be the walking because I haven't been running as much as I was last fall/winter, and I'm not riding any more than before. So, walking is good!It does seem to take away any soreness I might get from running/riding/lifting weights, and Jack loves it so much I don't have the heart to deny him, even at 5:30 a.m.!
