Fortunately only one was really complicated. A bone graft and realignment called a tibial tubercle elevation. I had a 55mm screw in my knee for a year and could feel the head of the screw through the skin. That was the weirdest feeling. I don't know that knee surgery is any harder than others. I would think that if bone is involved it's painful no matter what bone it is. I used to play tennis and 6-man volleyball with a vengeance, but no more. Cycling all the way! It's a great experience, isn't it?Originally Posted by Asphaltgirl
