Okay, here is my best guess on how to apply freckles, and keep in mind that it is an artistic way of spattering snow on to a painting, but I think the outcome would be the same.

In order for you to apply freckles in this way, whatever it is that you use needs to be liquid. I am racking my brains here to come up with something liquid that won't leave you with freckles for a week. I feel like I need to offer a disclaimer or something legal before I even suggest something I am thinking watered down acrylic paint - which would most likely leave a freckle residue for a week - or something like liquid eyeliner that isn't waterproof. the advantage to liquid acrylic is that it comes in a million different colors and should be easy to find at a store. It is pretty cheap, too. I don't know if you'd even be able to find liquid eyeliner in a redish-brown.

Okay, once you have something picked out to freckle yourself with, get a stiff toothbrush and dip it into the "paint" . Next use your fingernail or fingertip to scratch or rub the bottom of the brush so that it splatters the paint. Your might experiment on a piece of paper first and then somewhere like your leg next so that you can see if it is what you like.

Hope this works. My $ .02 for whatever it is worth.

OK, I'll ask it- Wouldn't it be like really embarrassing if people at this party could tell that you PAINTED freckles on your face?? And if they ask, will you admit they are fake freckles, or lie about it?
    Just curious...

Hmmmm, not sure if I should say why I need the freckles!

OK..........going to the party as a school girl (hahaha, did I say girl)!!!

It will be a real blast though, sometimes it's really good to let your hair down.

Thanks for the ideas, not so sure about acrylic paint! Flybye, I might just sue you.

Oh, ok, so it's a costume party of "some sort".

Yes, Flyby, I understand what you meant.

I vote for eyebrow pencil- that comes in various reddish brown soft colors, and will stay if you don't rub it.

I was assuming that Halloween being around the corner, that was the reason for the frecklage, if you will.
This begs the other question, how would one know if they were real or not, aside from not knowing you personally.
It also begs the other question, WHY would anyone ASK such a personal question? Kind of like "when's your baby due?" or "why haven't you had children yet?" That person must not be a fan of Miss Manners - Lisa SH, just know that I am in no way referring to you on this - Just thinking of answers to your questions!

My oldest turned 25 this year; middle turns 23 the day after Will turns 14.

I don't know how it happened, but both of my older sons have been in committed relationships for 5+ years, and now I'm a grandmother. Oh, I know--when my dad said, "Don't blink or you'll miss it.", I blinked.
