if you want freckles, find a pencil that is just a couple of colors darker than your own skin color and put a few on your cheeks, and your nose that's all.
experiment.

I guarantee, in fact I would put a quid on it (that's £1), that what I am going to ask, somebody here will have the answer.
OK, I am going to a fancy dress party in a couple of weeks but I need to know how to apply some freckles to my face.
Everytime I do a search on the internet, I only seem to come up with how not to get them...........doh!
AND, should they just go on the cheeks, or where, I know, real dumb question.
Cheers guys.

Oh Mimi, he is so cute...........although I did laugh, to think at my age I want freckles!
Experiment! Yeah, but I need some ideas first.
Now if it was mending something, I would be well away without asking anybody, especially a man!
Cheers Mimi.

Mimi, I love that picture! Your son probably hates it.
Yep, just put a few dots across the bridge of the nose, and that should get the message across.
Karen
I have so many freckles I wouldn't evven know where to tell you to start! But the bridge of the nose seems a good place to start! I used to hate mine but I feel lucky to have them now. If i get a pimple you can barely see it!
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

DS doesn't hate that picture. It was his idea to dress up like that that day. He remembers fondly being a cute little kid.
He grew up and got un-cute (now more like ruggedly handsome; but who knew that cute little nose was going to grow!)
i have freckles too. they come out in the sun.
nopeOpie? Is that you?
Oh, Mimi, there's no reason to hate the picture! It's just that my boys don't like pictures of themselves when they were CUTE. =:0
My eldest son's picture from kindergarten shows him with a tie and a similar hair cut. He wanted to be just like his Poppy and wear a tie to "work".He doesn't like the picture now but he loved it then!
All my sons are handsome now, too. Except Will, who is still so cute he doesn't know what effect he has on teenage girls.
Karen
how old are your sons, Karen? DS has been through that stage and back already. Now he is a wise old man of 26.![]()

Okay, here is my best guess on how to apply freckles, and keep in mind that it is an artistic way of spattering snow on to a painting, but I think the outcome would be the same.
In order for you to apply freckles in this way, whatever it is that you use needs to be liquid. I am racking my brains here to come up with something liquid that won't leave you with freckles for a week. I feel like I need to offer a disclaimer or something legal before I even suggest somethingI am thinking watered down acrylic paint - which would most likely leave a freckle residue for a week - or something like liquid eyeliner that isn't waterproof. the advantage to liquid acrylic is that it comes in a million different colors and should be easy to find at a store. It is pretty cheap, too. I don't know if you'd even be able to find liquid eyeliner in a redish-brown.
Okay, once you have something picked out to freckle yourself with, get a stiff toothbrush and dip it into the "paint" . Next use your fingernail or fingertip to scratch or rub the bottom of the brush so that it splatters the paint. Your might experiment on a piece of paper first and then somewhere like your leg next so that you can see if it is what you like.
Hope this works. My $ .02 for whatever it is worth.
OK, I'll ask it- Wouldn't it be like really embarrassing if people at this party could tell that you PAINTED freckles on your face?? And if they ask, will you admit they are fake freckles, or lie about it?![]()
Just curious...

Lisa, maybe she's going to a freckle party!
I was assuming that Halloween being around the corner, that was the reason for the frecklage, if you will.
This begs the other question, how would one know if they were real or not, aside from not knowing you personally.
It also begs the other question, WHY would anyone ASK such a personal question? Kind of like "when's your baby due?" or "why haven't you had children yet?" That person must not be a fan of Miss Manners - Lisa SH, just know that I am in no way referring to you on this - Just thinking of answers to your questions!
