Last week my 3rd race of the year. I arrived early (for once), put in a few minutes on the trainer then headed out for a practice lap. The course was bumpy but otherwise in good shape (ie- no mud). I even arrived at the start line early and was pleasantly surprised to get a call up (9th in last week's race). This helped out a lot- I didn't have to bust my butt passing everyone on the course. Lap 1 was awful because I couldn't breathe but I managed to keep most of the group behind me. Laps 2 and 3 were a total blur and lap 4 was full of "on your left" as I passed some of the slower guys. Most were cool but one dork tried to outsprint me. That kind of made me madSo I put it in overdrive and passed him anyway! Tee hee. I came in 4th out of 28!
