Oui, have a bad case of cabin fever, so went out rididng with very painful back. And I might add that, it was the first time since I dumped the Holstein ride back in August. (talk about cabin fever!!!)

with the exception of hot poker jabbing in my back, it was a fun ride. 12 really easy miles. Tried to climb a 6% hill. Made it half way but I'm so out of shape, I turned around

In a way, it felt like how L. Armstrong quipped about being passed by an old lady while he was on chemo. It was a very humbling ride.

And it was gorgeous day by the beach. Smell the ocean air, light breeze, warm and not hot. I didn't make it to my old training ground. Still it was a lovely ride. Bit interesting trying to climb with sore back.

So I'm just relaxing now, listening to Dan Folgelberg and wish the firemen the best in stopping the wildfire up in Malibu and down in San Diego. The Presbyterian Church that burned down in Malibu is the church my partner used to go when she was in grade school. Just few things on my mind...
