What a gift Shew! What a great way to connect with your child, a way that can last along time through all kinds of life events. You know that advice parents get to have big, important conversations (sex, drugs) in a "non-threatening" location, like driving in the car? I can see you and her having these big talks while rolling along, much better than in the car

I wish you many miles with your dear daughter before she flies away on her own.

    That really rocks!

I wish I had family... or close friends... or a boyfriend who shared in my enjoyment in physical activity... and cycling.

    Unfortunately, it's just me.

Thank goodness for the cool people I have met in my local cycling club! They always make me feel like I am not alone!

Ever notice that 'what the hell' always seems to be the best decision?

Yes, mostly solo for myself as well, but luckily I have friends who tag along every once in a while. I think I have trouble finding people to ride with because I'm so slow, laugh. Must be the bike...not me.
