I recently puchased a PCS-10. It's a great sturdy stand though it is portable only in the sense that it can be transported by one human being. It can be collapsed for storage but you wouldn't want to be taking it here and there very much.
I purchased mine from Performance online. It arrived with one missing part and another part which was damaged. Although irritating, I must compliment both Performance and Park Tool. I emailed both of them re the problem and said I didn't know who would handle it and they *each* sent me replacement parts within a few days. Hope it was just an isolated instance as Park Tool generally has a good rep.
I tried to look at (and would have purchased) workstands at local stores but they don't have much inventory (probably not be much of a market for workstands in NYC as many people wouldn't have space for!). It really would have helped to have seen it first. I probably would have gotten a less heavy duty model, but I'm not going to sell this one. I figured that I would buy one workstand in my life and this is it.
