Resurrecting this old thread...
I spent most of the morning giving Pipit a thorough overhaul and cleaning so that she could go to her new home. I am now down to 4 bikes.
Pipit is a 2003 Specialized Allez women's version, the first year Specialized really started with the women's specific bikes. Pipit was my first road bike, and we had many many many miles together in California, Nevada, Utah, and Oregon.
Pipit went to a coworker who is very excited to bring the bike into her home. We spent quite a bit of time getting the bike fit right (fits the new owner well, but then she's pretty much exactly the same size as me) and and then went out in the 'hood and did the full "how to ride" tutorial (this is this woman's first road bike). She did great and got the whole clipless pedal thing down really quickly.
So I'm a little melancholybut also glad that Pipit's going to a home where she'll get ridden more (more than just on the trainer) and where she'll be loved!

Cheers to Pipit!
